Very gripping and well written trilogy.
I read each book in few days. Hard to put down...
A Haunting series that will stick with you long after you've turned the last page...
14 and up in my opinion.

Sister of my Heart ****
I loved this book. The author totally transported me to India in the heart of this family of women bound by family ties and friendship.
There were several unexpected surprises in this book. The author is a fantastic storyteller and I found such beautiful insight into the human heart.
Great read

Ellen Foster ***
I found myself really cheering for this little girl who knows what she wants. Ellen makes the best of the sad truth she lives, and despite all odds, hopes for love and belonging, and finds it.
Very quick read, finished it in 2 days while traveling.
Very endearing story and orphan girl...

The books of Bayern ****
BY Shannon HaleI just finished the last of the series; forest born, loved it!
I really enjoyed these books.
My favorite was the last one and the second one. Great stories, places and characters. Has the right amount of romance, action and magic.
I liked that you did not loose track of the original characters throughout the different books.
Great for teens!!!

Firefly Lane ***
By Kristin HannahFirefly Lane is a book about the ups and downs of female friendships. Tully Hart and Kate Mularkey become friends during the summer of 1974. Very different from each other, one chooses marriage and motherhood while the other opts for career and celebrity.
Their friendship makes it through family issues, careers, starting their own families, jealousy and illness.
I was deeply moved by this book. I am always a fan of a book that gets me to think about my own life. I love a book that tugs at my heart. Firefly Lane did both. Couldn't put it down. Make sure you have some kleenex handy.

The Host ****
By Stephanie MeyerJust like Twilight is a vampire story for people who don't like vampire stories, The Host is a sci-fi novel for people who don't like sci-fi. Ultimately, this is a very human story about love, friendship, loyalty and family. It's moving and unique.
I really loved the world Stephanie created and I found myself sucked in.
I found that this book was less"adult "than some of the Twilight books.
I wished, that at the end, She would have expanded more on the relationship between Wanderer and Melanie... More dialogue would have been nice...

The Shack ***
By William YoungThe beginning was heart wrenching (I have a beautiful 6 year old too...) The middle was somewhat a little confusing, but interesting. Some true statements and some false doctrine. The end was wonderful, but I felt it was rushed.
This needs to be read as fiction and not as truth.
Le debut etait tres poignant. (J'ai une petite de 6 ans aussi)
Le millieux tres interessant , mais j'etais un peux paumee...
La fin, totalement merveilleuse, mais un peux pressee.
A lire comme fiction, pas la verite.

Burying our swords***
By Kevin HinckleyGreat easy read... Using the story of the Anti-Nephi-Lehites in the Book of Mormon and applying it to our life and relationships. We cannot change those around us, no matter how hard we try and desire to, but we can change ourselves by striving to have our hearts at peace and burying our weapons of war....

The Anathomy of Peace*****
Resolving the Heart of ConflictBy the Arbinger Institute
This book is written in narrative style as a fictional story. The characters in the book are in a class learning the principles of having a peaceful heart. It teaches the true principle of seeing others as real people rather than objects.
Now if I could always remember to live by the things I have learned within its pages, that would be awesome! I might just have to read it again and again!

The Holy Secret***
By James FerrelThis book helped me to appreciate and internalize the things that are holy. It motivates, while teaching gospel principles. It gives reasons on why we do the things we are commanded to do.
The 3 main gospel themes are:
*Making the scriptures more interesting and meaningful.
*Making sacrament and the sabbath more fulfilling.
*Making our temple attendance more frequent in turning our hearts to our ancestors.
