Very gripping and well written trilogy.

The books of Bayern ****

BY Shannon Hale

I just finished the last of the series; forest born, loved it!
I really enjoyed these books.
My favorite was the last one and the second one. Great stories, places and characters. Has the right amount of romance, action and magic.
I liked that you did not  loose track of the original characters throughout the different books.

Great for teens!!!

StarGirl ***

By Jerry Spinelli

This is a story about the perils of popularity, the courage of nonconformity, and the thrill of first love, an eccentric student named Stargirl changes Mica High School forever.

Fun fast read, great for kids going into Junior High. This book has a lot of life lessons in it.

A Wrinkle in Time ****

by Madeline L'Engle

The story.
A Wrinkle in Time is about three children, Meg and Charles Wallace Murry and Calvin O’Keefe, who go on a mission to save the Murry’s father. Three beings in the form of three women help the children go find the Murry’s father, using time travel, on a distant planet and they help fight an evil called IT that takes over people's minds and free agency, and individuality. Sounds familiar?

My thoughts.
Quite an enjoyable fast read with a great story and lots of adventure...the novel has several underlying themes: a quest for unknown places; the never ending battle of good and evil; the desire to be accepted regardless of looks, personality, or family; the need for love; the power of love to heal and encourage; the courage to risk everything when it becomes necessary; the interconnectedness of all creatures; and the desire to discover what else is out there in the universe.
Great for 12 and up.

I loved this story! Great fairy tale. It was a little slow at getting the adventure started though... but overall a great magical read!

Sun and moon, Ice and snow ***

by Jessica Day George

This is a different verion of the fairy tale East was based on. I love the story. I enjoyed this book but I liked Eddith Pattou's version better.

Book of a thousand days*****

By Sannon Hales
This is the 1st book I read from this author and definitely not the last! I am now a big Fan of Shannon! And can't wait to read more of her books! Shannon Hale has such a gift with words and description.
The main character in this book, Dashti, is one of the strongest, most likable voices I've ever read. She invites you right into her world, and I wanted to hear more and more of her story.
I LOVED the relationship between Dashti and Tegas. It was so genuine and sweet - so true to the nature of love.
I can't praise this story enough!! A must read!

A lire absolument!

East*****

By Edith Pattou

I read this book in 3 days! An Absolute favorite! It has everything I love: adventure, love, magic, great characters, and a pretty swiftly moving plot... I actually loved how we are told the story from 5 different people. You get a glimpse into the main characters thoughts. It has a 'Beauty and the Beast' feel to it, but with more adventure and twists. Truly I was enchanted! LOVED IT!

J'etais vraiement enchantee... J'ai adore!

The Blue Sword***

By Robin McKinley

This book was a slow stater but once into it I enjoyed it. I liked the people, the places, the magic, the adventure... There was a little too much description for my taste, but still manageable, I did do some skimming...
A great story that resembles the stories of Tolken.

Uglies Series****

I loved the Uglies Trilogy. However, I had a certain expectation of how the story was going to end and the last book didn't fulfill my hope; the ending left me slightly unfulfilled. The description of people who keep cutting themselves in the last book is also disturbing. I liked Uglies the best, followed by pretties, Specials was OK.
