I really loved this book.
Like all the other books in this genre, I feel the same as John Pontius disclaims in his afterward comments.

"I do believe that Spencer saw what he saw. But I don't believe it should always be interpreted as literal, or even prophetic, for anyone but Spencer himself... Anyone who has studied the Latter Days, the Second Coming, or the building of Zion in scripture will quickly admit that is is hard to interpret, and most of it is given as metaphor or type of things to come, rather than as specific and actual events to watch for. I wouldn't expect Spencer's vision to be any different."

That said, this book was very enjoyable. It made me want to purify my heart, to know my Savior deeper. It made me feel peace while looking forward to a wonderful-beyond-description future with our Savior and loved ones. Filled with happiness and glory!

I have been following NieNie's blog for quite some time now. I always get a great feeling from reading her blog. I found the book very inspirational. What a family this is...such good family oriented people. Stephanie is a strong woman and so very honest in her writing. She gives me motivation to be better in what counts. It really moved me from laughter to tears...
I hated having to put it aside once done, but love that I can still check her blog occasionally to continue to be inspired by her. She is an incredible woman!

The Continuous Atonement *****

What a beautiful book on the Atonement. It is balm to the soul, full of comforting words, scriptures, life example and more... It is a book full of understanding and hope. It does not address the how or what made it possible for Christ to do what He did, but rather on how it applies to us, and what it means to our life and well being. I highly recommend it's reading.

Quel beau livre sur l'expiation du Christ. Il est rempli de confort, d'ecritures, d'experiences de la vie et plus... Il est rempli aussi de comprehention et d'espoir. Il n'addresse pas comment le Christ a fait ce qu'il a fait, mais comment son effet peux nous aider dans notre vie quotienne. Je recommand ce livre a tous.

Just like Twilight is a vampire story for people who don't like vampire stories, The Host is a sci-fi novel for people who don't like sci-fi. Ultimately, this is a very human story about love, friendship, loyalty and family. It's moving and unique.
I really loved the world Stephanie created and I found myself sucked in.
I found that this book was less"adult "than some of the Twilight books.
I wished, that at the end, She would have expanded more on the relationship between Wanderer and Melanie... More dialogue would have been nice...

J'ai beaucoup aimer le monde que Stephanie a creer. J'ai trouver ce livre moin adult" que les livre de Twilight. J'aurais bien aimer un peux plus de dialogue a la fin entre Wanderer et Melanie.

Now if I could always remember to live by the things I have learned within its pages, that would be awesome! I might just have to read it again and again!

The author's writing carries you away to this faraway place, making you be there, in the moment, with the people, in that climate, dealing with that oppression. (Some mature & difficult themes)

J'ai pleure si fort, que plusieurs fois je ne pouvais plus voire les mots. Une histoire tres touchante de deux femmes et de leurs vies qui converge. C'est triste mais si bien ecrit. L'auteur nous enmene dans un pays lointain. On y vit, on ressent le climat, les moments, les gens, on ressent l'oppression...

Book of a thousand days*****

This is the 1st book I read from this author and definitely not the last! I am now a big Fan of Shannon! And can't wait to read more of her books! Shannon Hale has such a gift with words and description.
The main character in this book, Dashti, is one of the strongest, most likable voices I've ever read. She invites you right into her world, and I wanted to hear more and more of her story.
I LOVED the relationship between Dashti and Tegas. It was so genuine and sweet - so true to the nature of love.
I can't praise this story enough!! A must read!

Le 1er livre que je lis de cet auteur et certainement pas le dernier! Je suis maintenant une Fan de Shannon! J'ai hate de lire plus de ses livres.S hannon a une facon unique avec ses mots et ses descriptions.
Le personage principale de ce livre, Dashti, est une des plus forte, et plus agreable voix que j'ai pus lire. Elle nous invite dans sont monde, que je ne voulais pas quiter!
J'ai aime la relation entre Dashti et Tegas. C'etait si beau et simple, si proche de la nature d'un amour complet. A lire absolument!

I read this book in 3 days! An Absolute favorite! It has everything I love: adventure, love, magic, great characters, and a pretty swiftly moving plot... I actually loved how we are told the story from 5 different people. You get a glimpse into the main characters thoughts. It has a 'Beauty and the Beast' feel to it, but with more adventure and twists. Truly I was enchanted! LOVED IT!

J'ai lu ce livre en 3 jours! Il a tout ce que j'aime: amour, adventure, magie, une histoire qui bouge, des personages avec caracter ... J'ai bein aimer qu'Edith racconte l'histoire vu a travers 5 caracters different. L'histoire a un air familier de 'la Belle et la bete' mais avec beaucoup plus d'aventure et de surprises. J'etais vraiement enchantee... J'ai adore!

This is the very first English book I read back 15 years ago...
Never in your life have you envisioned rabbits the way that Richard Adams portrays them in this book. They are leaders, followers, thinkers and most importantly heroes. They travel far away from their homeland warren and are just incredibly complex and interesting to read about. This book is a true classic. I couldn't put it down and didn't want to finish it, for I knew I would miss these bunnies... And I did!

Le 1er livre que j'ai lu en anglais il y a plus de 15 ans... Jamais on envisionnerait des lapins de la facon que Richard Evans nous les presente dans ce livre. Il y a ceux qui dirigent, ceux qui suivent, ceux qui pensent, et le plus important, ceux qui sont des heros. Ils voyages loin de leur nis est sont tres interressant et complex dans leur aventure... Ce livre est un vrait classic. Je ne pouvais pas le poser. Je ne voulais pas le finir non plus car je savais que ces petits lapin allaient me manquer... et ils m'ont manquer!

I picked up this book while I was traveleing... Do I not regret buying this book! It is a deep profound moving true story of human courage. I have read many accounts of life after death experiences and wondered how people could go there and return here on earth and still keep on living, from all accounts it is so much better there... In this incredible story Don retells his struggles and victories with so much honesty. Just amazing!

J'ai acheter ce livre en voyageant Je n'ai pas regrette! C'est une histoire tres emouvante remplie de courage. J'ai lu beaucoup d'histores sur le sujet de la vie apres la mort et me suis toujours demande comment les personnes qui ont ses experiences peuvent-elles supporter de revenir ici alors que c'est si bien de l'autre cote? Dans cette histoire incroyable de Don, il nous racconte son experience, ses douleurs, ses epreuves et ses victoires avec beaucoup d'honnetete.

Il nous aide a prendre un regard introspectif sur nous meme. Il nous montre ce que le Christ a fait pour nous et ce qu'il peut faire pour nous... surtout dans notre quotidien, dans les relations que nous avons avec nos proches, et comment il peut guerrir les blessures de notre coeur.
Tres profond, beau et emouvant.

I have loved this book. There are some amazing passages that have stirred my soul. At the end of the book, I felt like reading it again. But what I really would like to do, is to totally live by what it teaches, which is being constantly filled by the spirit of Christ, and being the kind of person He can have a deep relationship with. It is having those moments of sacred intimacy with Him more often until that day where I shall meet Him.
J'ai bcp aime ce livre. Il a touche mon ame. Apres l'avoir lu en entier je voulais le relire. Mais ce que j'aimerais vraiment faire, c'est de vivre totalement ce qu'il enseigne: vivre tous les jours de notre vie avec l'esprit du Seigneur en tant que compagnion constant. D'avoir ces moments d'intimite avec le Seigneur en attandant de pouvoir le voir en personne.

Simply the best book there is as far as bringing one's heart and soul to Christ!
I am constantly amazed at the depth of this book, the power it has to change one's heart, and the strength I have gleaned from it throughout my life as I have searched for knowledge, wisdom and light within it's pages. It truly is a Testament of Jesus Christ and if we diligently study it and live by it's precepts, we will too, become a living testament of our Savior, because we will become one with Him who makes us whole.

Livre d'ecriture qui rapproche notre ame et coeur au Christ! Je suis constamment emerveillee a la profondeur de ce livre et au pouvoir qu'il a de changer le coeur, et a la force, sagesse, comprehention et foi que j'ai recu et que je recois a travers ma vie quand je l'etudie diligeament. C'est vraiement "Un autre Temoignage du Christ" en l'etudiant toute notre vie nous pourons devenir un avec le Christ.
