Beauty****

A retelling of Beauty and the Beast
By Robert McKinley

Of all the princesses, Beauty is my favorite one! Snow White is too naive, Ariel sells her soul, Cinderella lets others boss her around, Sleeping beauty just sleeps and waits to be rescued... But Beauty, she has a heart that can see past appearances. She has a sens of adventure. She sacrifices her life for her family. She learns to love the unlovable. And she LOVES to READ! A woman after my own heart!
I really enjoyed this retelling of this story.

Finding personal meaning in the book of revelation
By Micheal Wilcox

Very insightful, enlightening and uplifting.

Wilcox starts with the very assumption that John's Revelation is NOT difficult to understand, and that there are keys which enable us to comprehend it. He plainly tells us that he's going to focus on the simplicity of Revelation-- and that he does. Loved it! it really helped me understand revelation and it's language and how we fit into the history of the world and the battle between good and evil.

Draw near unto me*****

By Steven A Cramer

Steven is becoming a favorite author of mine. Each chapter contains a short story taken from Christ's life. A Question is asked either by Christ or an other character. The author, then invites us to ask ourselves the same question and apply it in our lives, by giving beautiful insights. This book inspires, is full of faith, hope, and encouragement to come closer to Christ.

Desert Flower****

By Waris Dirie
Ms. Waris Dirie's story, from her humble beginnings in Somalia to the glitzy world of high fashion would be fascinating even if it weren't for the dreadful tragedies she has endured. If ever a woman took pain and turned it to a positive, it's this woman. By courageously overcoming cultural conditioning to tell the story of her horrific mutilation. Her physical beauty is stunning, her courage unmatched, and her legacy will endure long after her modeling career is over. (some language and difficult themes)

Watership down*****

By Richard Evans
This is the very first English book I read back 15 years ago...

Never in your life have you envisioned rabbits the way that Richard Adams portrays them in this book. They are leaders, followers, thinkers and most importantly heroes. They travel far away from their homeland warren and are just incredibly complex and interesting to read about. This book is a true classic. I couldn't put it down and didn't want to finish it, for I knew I would miss these bunnies... And I did!
